CWSP Training: Mock Interview Sessions

During this popular event, each volunteer is provided with a job description in order to play the role of interviewer.  The students come to the meetings prepared, having worked on:

  • Strengths and weaknesses & preparing a resume
  • How to do a job search online
  • Choosing a job they wanted (for the mock interview)
  • Practice interviews with their peers using a Common Interview Questions Guide
  • How to compose cover letters and post-interview thank you letters

Each student meets one-on-one with a volunteer for 30 minutes. The interview segment lasts 15-20 minutes and is followed by a 10 minute performance feedback session and a Q&A about the volunteer’s “real” job and background.
