College acceptances for the 90 seniors in the Class of 2018 are starting to roll in.

The roster of colleges and universities includes: Augustana College, Bradley University, Carroll University, Carthage College, Columbia College, Cornell College, DePaul University, DePauw University, Dominican University, Illinois State University, Loyola University, Marquette University, Santa Clara University, Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, Indiana), University of Illinois at Chicago, Wheeling Jesuit University and Xavier University.

The early acceptances speak volumes about the success CRSM is having fulfilling and growing its mission to get students to and through college. Ninety-eight percent of the Class of 2017 were accepted into bachelor’s degree programs and received $25,668,000 in scholarships. Prior to that, 94 percent of the Class of 2016 were accepted into four-year bachelor’s programs and were awarded $17.3 million collectively in scholarships, up from $10.4 million in 2015 and $800,000 in 2007.

Recently 32 Cristo Rey students participated in the prestigious Chicago Scholar’s Onsite College Admissions Forum, and were accepted into colleges across the country. Several students were awarded between $27,000 and $30,000 in merit-based awards. The one-day admissions programs connects top students nationwide to selective colleges in one day.

During Onsite 2017, the CRSM students were among 1,200 scholars nationwide who received more than $46 million in merit scholarships at a celebratory luncheon and day of one-on-one interviews held at Navy Pier on Oct. 24, 2017.
